Chip and Karen have been training at C-FIT for a while now, and we have enjoyed watching them grow and master moves that were once challenging. Check ’em out!
While Chip is a Chesapeake native, Karen grew up in Ohio, who both wound up in Suffolk in 2020 and fell in love with its smaller-town, older-world charm.
They found their way into our C-FIT family after they “both gained some pandemic poundage and knew it was time to make some changes!” They’d had success with personal trainers in the past, and decided to give C-FIT a chance.
Since training at C-FIT, “We look and feel so much better, inside and out! We really feel our gains in mobility and strength; a lot
of our nagging aches and pains have subsided as well!”
In their day-to-day outside of the gym, “We have really been motivated to change our diet as well. Once we started getting compliments from friends and family, we knew we wanted to keep on going!”
As for C-FIT itself, “We love the personalized workouts with David and the friendly faces we see every visit gives us the feeling of a family. We’ve tried larger gyms without success, we found them to be uninviting and intimidating so staying motivated was difficult.”
So for the newbies! What do you guys suggest for those looking to start their fitness journeys? “Starting is often the hardest step! When we initially signed up, our intentions were to try it for three months with a ‘We can do anything for three months’ attitude. A little over a year later, we are still going strong!”

“We absolutely would recommend giving C-FIT a try! They have such a variety of workout options available and really want to help tailor a plan to what will work for you!”
