Meet Ann! A Windsor native and resident, she discovered C-FIT via a friend telling her about the KAOS class (Kinesthetic Athletic Olympic Systems).
Since joining the C-FIT family, Ann has seen “a definite increase in strength and endurance…You would be surprised at how the workouts at C-FIT actually are geared towards every day activities in life. Things you do, muscles you use, that you don’t realize and then you think of a strength exercise you did in class that is geared towards those very things,” she says.
With regards to C-FIT specifically, she says it’s “the relationships and people you gain from the C-FIT experience [that make a difference]. Whether it is the trainers/staff or the other members you see and meet. Everyone genuinely cares about each other. As you get to know each member, everyone is supportive and encouraging. You don’t just walk in, slap earphones on and get on a treadmill. We all work together towards the same goals, trying to be healthier and be better for ourselves. The relationships here help you build upon that.”
What would you suggest to someone just starting out on their fitness journey? “Just to stick with it, even on days when you don’t feel like it or even if you have certain limitations. Not everyone is going to work out all the time and not everyone can do a box jump.It really isn’t a competition, find something that works for you, every one has to start somewhere.”
Would you recommend C-FIT to a friend/acquaintance? “Absolutely.”
